Old County Court House On the square & venue suggestions

Has anyone ever been to a wedding here at the Old county court House on the square in Dekalb? We were planning a beach wedding but due to some of our family being seriously ill we have to change venues. :(   And I am just a little frustrated. I dont have a large budget (7K) so any ideas would be welcomed. I tried roswell river landing but my preferred month is booked. I really would like a place where we could bring our own alcohol and can have the ceremony and reception in one venue.

Thanks!!!

Hi there!  I am so sorry to hear about all of that!  I haven't personally looked at the Old Courthouse but I have a couple of other suggestions.  Look at Peach Brandy Cottage and Roselawn Museum in Cartersville.  I haven't been to see either of these in person, but I believe both offer the option of bringing in all of your own catering and alcohol.  Hope this helps!

We are using the Old Courthouse. I love it! Obviously, we haven't had our wedding there yet, but it's a beautiful venue. Another place that I considered with a similar set up (you bring alcohol, lower fee for renting w/both wedding + reception in the same place) is the Trolley Barn.

I visited the Trolley Barn as a potential wedding venue, and it is really pretty, especially the outdoor area in the back.  I was pleasantly surprised because I thought it looked nicer in person than in the pictures I'd seen online.  One downside for me is that I didn't love the colors of the walls inside, but a few of the pictures showed things people could do with drapery to cover that.  You can also check their available dates on the website.

There's also a place in Cobb County called Gala Special Events Facility that you can bring your own alcohol and catering to.  We visited that place too, and the owner is super nice and seems willing to work in your budget.  I think the website says you must use their caterer, but when we visited she said you could use any caterer or hers.  Their backyard garden is very nice as well.
