Tell the board about the look and feel of your wedding.  What are your colors?  Do you have a "theme"?  Food - plated or buffet style?  What is your inspiration.  Bonus if you post pics!

    Okay, I'll start!

I remember watching the movie, "Rachel Getting Married", and loved how it made me feel.  It is this feeling that I want to replicate.  I kept thinking throughout the movie: This is me.  The vibrant colors, the openness, the small wedding at home.  This is my inspiration.  My wedding will stand out to our guests because it will hopefully encompass that feeling.   We are planning to capitalize on the holiday weekend and give our guests a taste of Atlanta.  There will be sparklers, sweet tea, lemonade, a margarita bar and an ice cream sundae bar.  I’m getting excited just thinking about it!
My colors are Navy Blue and Orange with accents of white.  I cannot wait!  You can check out more in my bio.

    My turn!!

When we first started looking at venues I wanted somewhere inside because I was so scared of rain but after we got to looking I found a gorgeous outdoor venue, Dunaway Gardens. I wanted to stick with a garden feel so the dresses for the bridesmaids are very "flowy", the flower girl will carry a watering can instead of a basket, and we have birdhouses hanging in the trees. As far as the colors go we wanted something to get everyone in the spring mood since it was the first day of spring so we chose pink and green. We orginially planned on finger foods but then pushed the time back so we are having a buffet with chicken, beef, veggies, salad and bread. We felt we needed a cocktail hour to keep our guests busy while we take pics but our families don't drink so we are going to have pink lemonade and limeaid (to match our colors), cheeses and fruits.

Not much time left!! Counting down days!!

I put this together a year ago to give our wedding party and vendors and idea of our vision. A few things have changed.

    Hi Everyone!

Well our wedding will be in the fall (October 23rd) this year at Victoria Belle Mansion, which is like a Queen Anne/turn of the century style mansion...it's beautiful.  Our colors are black and white with baby pink accent colors.  We'll be having an afternoon wedding with heavy apps and pink champagne punch.

I'm wearing bright pink Christian Louboutin sling backs (I'm a shoe whore), they were my big splurge.  And I'm marrying my best friend.

I'm excited to hear everyone else's ideas!

My wedding planning is finally on it's way since we finally booked our reception venue and ceremony site. We are getting married Jan. 15h 2011 at St. Michael's in Woodstock and our reception is at Olde Towne Athletic Club in Marietta. I haven't picked our color scheme yet but I am thinking rose champage and gold! I am going for a big, classy, southern party!

Oh, fun! We started out talking (before the engagement) about a tiny destination wedding. We wanted to get married in the USVI. Then we got engaged and sat down to write out our guest list. So much for that! Somehow, in the last two months, I have gone from planning a barefoot beach wedding to a winter country club wedding. Who knew!? So now we are getting married at St. Ives Country Club in Duluth (actually cheaper for us than the destination would have been!). Our colors are black and ivory (would have been white, but I fell in love at first sight with an ivory dress) with blue accents. So far the hardest part of the wedding has been picking a shade of blue! My bio has a bunch of images of what I'm looking for. Our theme so far is classic southern mixed with a massive party for our people. Our food will be a buffet. I am going minimal on the flowers to make budget space for the open bar! Can anyone tell me how to post like bbykes did, then I can show you what I'm talking about.

We're having a semi-formal wedding at the Atrium in Norcross. Our colors are black, hot pink, and champagne gold. Most of our wedding party is OOT (coming from Seattle and Portland).  FI's youth pastor is officiating for us which is really great of him to do.

We're doing a buffet style and an open beer wine and champagne bar. Also unlimited juice and soda.
