Ceremony and Reception Venues in Gwinnett County

Hi all!

I'm on the hunt for a wedding venue somewhere in Gwinnett County that can do an outdoor or indoor ceremony and have the reception on site as well. We've already looked at Little Gardens, Atrium, Flint Hill, Carl House, Old Courthouse on the Square (Decatur), which were al beautiful but although I love the concept of the Magic Moments Co., I would love the flexibility to add our own decorations and flowers and not buy everything exclusively through the company.

Can anyone tell me if there is a venue I'm missing? Or have any experience with Magic Moments to sway me towards signing an agreement with them? Little Gardens is the one that we've liked the best so far :) We're going to look at Bona Allen Mansion next..

Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all! Laughing

You might like the Devore House (15 min outside Gwinnett co.) or Hollycrest Hall.  They are some pretty nice venues  owned by Delightful Bitefull catering company. I met Kathy, the owner when I was in search of a venue and she seemed polite and somewhat easy to work with.

Just make sure if you choose to go see the venues, you request that it is not at a time when she's preparing another event.  You don't want to feel rushed! Here's the websites.  Also eleven15 venue..it's in Suwanee. Hope this is helpful.

Also check on the Payne Corley House. It is located in Duluth. It is kind of small, but it is very pretty!

    Payne Corley is beautiful!

I checked out several of the "Magic Moments" venues and was definitely impressed with their service and their flexibility. What turned me away from them was merely budget issues.

Check out Vecoma at the Yellow River in Snellville - www.vecoma1.com

Also, Vines Mansion at Vines Garden in the Grayson/Loganville area.

I will definitely check those places out too! Thanks ladies!

I agree that the Magic Moments venues are very impressive but it's at the top of my budget..so adding on decorations and everything else would really be stretching it. I'm still open to going south of Gwinnett closer to downtown but would love to be able to stay near here! :)

My wedding is 7/1/11 and we are getting married at Little Gardens.  I was feeling the same way you are about choosing a place but then went with Little Gardens and they have been great to work with. They listened to everything i want and helped me get it or close to it without going over budget.

I Think i looked at the Payne-Corely House....if it is the place i am thinking about there was a train track running in front of the house that is still in use and didn't want to worry about a train going through in the middle of the ceremony espeially...other than that the location was nice and they staff was great.

I also booked with Magic Moments - mine is going to be at the Atrium.  I used them before for corporate events, and was VERY impressed.  They were also at the very top of my budget, but they do SO much in-house that my fiance' and I decided it was worth it.

    However, my 2nd choices were:
KTN Ballroom (in Duluth, off PIB).  You can actually bring in your own alcohol here and that was a huge plus for us.
Winfield Hall - also in Duluth, near Steve Reynolds Blvd.  We really liked the flexibility there - they could alter their menu to do whatever we wanted, they also charge ONE  price based on the estimated number of guests, that was pretty cool.  No nickel and diming.

Why not check out the Hudgens Center for the Arts - they are beautiful and classy, and have an outdoor sculpture garden to use.  Also, they are comparably priced and the money goes back to the community...

    Hello,
I'm a Wedding Planner in the Atlanta Area.  I have looked and been to a lot of venues that have Ceremony and Reception all in the same location.  A little ways down the road from the Carl House is the Thompson House and Gardens.  They are flexible there.  The way they work you can use any vendor you like the only thing that is required throught the house is the flowers.  The owner her name is On Guest she a fab at flowers and she puts together Budget Friendly packages to give you what you want with out going into debt.  Check out there website www.thompsonhouseandgardens.com

    Hope this helps,
