Need your opinion

I am getting married January 15 2011 here in Atlanta GA, and I am starting to freak out about the possible weather. Am I crazy for having it in Jan. I am guessing I can move to march and still get off peak venue prices, but I hate even having to wait longer then I already do!!! What is ya'lls opinion

I wouldn't dare, but if you're indoors I don't think it will make much difference.  The weather is so weird here, no one can even predict it.  You should be fine though. :)

I wouldn't worry too much about it... and keep your date if that is the one that you want. Just have a back up plan - either a space indoors or a tent rental in case it rains. I am getting marries this October, at an outside venue. But, there is space inside it would just be a squeeze. I am going to be pricing tent rental to see if that is an option for bad weather.

As long as you are prepared, you should be fine!

I was considering not doing summer, but after looking into it, the venues I was interested in had the same prices year round! So I figured why NOT do it in the summer?

I totally understand the "I don't want to wait even longer" situation.  if you can, do an inside venue, then it won't matter if it is cold, rainy, snowy, whatever!!  We have a venue with a beautiful inside conservatory with tropical plants and a waterfall and then the reception will be just one building over so we get a nice outside look but with heat and shelter and they don't have to flip the room for the reception!!!  If you are interested, pib or PM me!

I say go for it.  First of all, you have a more unique anniversary.  You break up January every year, with a happy occasion.....and it's a GREAT time to take a week vacay in the tropics!

I say go for it too! I wouldn't plan to do it outside, but you should be totally fine with an indoor venue!!!
