    I ate an absurd amount of chocolate yesterday, but other than that, I'm on track with the gym and eating pretty well.

    I started C25K last night. I am determined to finish it.

    The fridge is also stocked with fruits for me to snack on instead of cookies/chips/ice cream.

    Mmm I went to the gym last night.  Did the bike on random hills and didn't have to lower the level for the first time.  My knee isn't being a pain either today.  I see the ortho again on the 22nd.  I might press my luck friday on the elliptical.

    I've been eating like CRAP.  I'm a stress eater, and yea... stress is high.  I'm really trying this week (as there's a plate of fudge on my desk).  I think I'll give that plate to other people.

    I woke up early today and went to the gym.   I was down 2 pounds on Saturday at my Weight Watchers weigh in.  I am down a total of 9!!  Hooray!  Plus I still have 2.5 months to go before the wedding.  I am hoping to lose another 6-10.

    I have been hanging tough with Jillian and will be attempting the Level 2 workouts later this week (yikes!) As far as eating, I've been doing pretty well as far as not snacking and controlling portion sizes. However - our VDay dinner was a splurge as we ate at a Brazilian steakhouse (and shared creme brulee for dessert!)

    Last week was good.... I ate well and got to the gym four times.  I didn't splurge too much over the weekend.  I didn't make it to the gym last night because of work, but I'll be back there tonight!

    I ran a 5k on Saturday... well jogged.  It was the first time I jogged the whole thing.  I've never been a runner, and the doctors told me about 5 years ago after surgery that I would never be able to run. 

    I need to start lifting more.  I'm going to the body works class tonight which includes weights so hopefully that's a good start.

    Last week was really good. We went to the gym 4 times and we did a 5k on Sat. to see what our time is. I weighed my self on the scale last night and it said I gained 4 lbs. I think it's def. wrong cause I don't see how that's possible.

    I'm still not able to breathe through my nose, or full breaths so I still haven't tackled Jillian. This scares me a little because I'm getting b-pics done in March. 4 more days of antibiotics... **crossing fingers** Hopefully the hotel this weekend will have a gym & an indoor pool. I'll totally be in there while FI is in his meetings. Or a nice run on the beach. (OCMD, baby.)

    I'm trying, guys. I'm trying. On an upside, I haven't been able to eat much between the throat and the tooth... so I'm down another 4 lbs from last week. Geez, I'm getting 6 cavities filled on the 1st... maybe I'll drop another 4 or 5 then too. :)

    I bought one of the water bottles with the filter in it- I actually really like it. It's cute too, so it makes me want to use it more. it does 300 bottles before you need to change the filter... but I don't know how much the filters cost. I'll probably end up just getting a new bottle in a different color when my 300 is up. (should be about a month... that's 10 bottles a day for 30 days... not bad)

    I've been going to the gym like 5-6 days a week lately.  I ran Sat and Sun, so yesterday my shins were hurting again.  This is getting so annoying.

    PS - I've decided to pack away my scale.  I get into the bad habit of weighing myself every morning, even though I know I can gain 3 pounds overnight just from a salty meal.  I drive myself nuts.  So I'm getting rid of the scale for a while and will go on how I feel and how my clothes fit.

    MH-  Do you get shin splints when running outside?  My FI hasn't had a problem with them in the past, but he has since running on the treadmill.  I always thought it should be opposite.

    cara - take body measurements... it's more accurate I think. There were times when I gained weight but went down in measurements

    THIS. For sure. Especially because I KNOW I am shedding fat and building muscle and my clothes are all fitting better. The scale doesn't always tell that tale. Grrrr!

    Treadmills are very hard on your legs, especially when you have issues like flat feet or knee problems.  I don't have any problems running outside.  I think once it gets warmer I will go to a local HS to run on the track or something.

    Supposedly increasing the incline to 1.0 is supposed to help with shin splints, but it doesn't.

    I tried to start Jillian Michael's 30 day shred but couldn't move after the second time. I think I need to find something that exercises different muscles on alternate days. Suggestions?

    Northstar -  Its true, and I know it even from my own past experience. 

    Madam - you are making a pretty strong case for the 30 Day Shred....  I had it in my hand the other day at Target, but put it down. :-(
