alternative to flower corsages and bouts...

I'm not a huge fan of having lots of flowers... I'm not a big flower fan. Me and my 3 BM's are having bouquets, and the guys are doing pocket squares instead of bouts... but now I'm trying to find something for the parents. Do any of you have any suggestions for alternatives to flowers?

• dont feel bad about not doing flowers. im not doing them for the mothers/grandmothers either. my mom has really really bad asthma and i dont think she could stand a flower on her for even a little bit. so we opted to do none for either mother. the brooch idea is a good one. or maybe a personalized lacey handkerchief. also can be found on etsy.

• I think a broach is a good idea, but I also think it would be ok to skip the extra flowers (or substitues for flowers). Many people don't have flowers for readers etc, and I know my dad wouldn't be 1 bit upset about not having to wear a bout. What about just getting your parents a nice keepsake instead? I got my mom a hanky from etsy and my dad a set of cufflinks.
• Not a big fan of flowers and "fluffy" stuff...not a girly girl.  here is a pic (hopefully if I do this right) of something we're doing for the bouts and dads. <a href="http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h140/aglines/?action=view&current=large_imageCAJELLJV.jpg&quot; target="_blank"><img src="http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h140/aglines/large_imageCAJELLJV.jpg&quot; border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
• I can't figure out how to put the photo on :)
• What about fabric flowers:http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/fabric-garden-rose-and-peony-how-to?lnc=e42ee220a0881210VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&backto=true&backtourl=/diy-decorations?lnc=e42ee220a0881210VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&rsc=slideshow_inspiration_decorations&contentid=4ae6b2974066f110VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD#slide_26http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/article/fabric-flower-brooch
