QUESTION ABOUT ENGAGEMENT RING

Hey everyone, I am new to the site and am just getting into the wedding planning mode. I have a question, I got engaged around Christmas time, i love my diamond  (princess cut), but i am not in love the band at all.I would really like to have exchanged, anyone know if this can be done? If it can be done, i would get it done where he got the ring since we are also getting 10 percent off if we get the wedding bands there.

Thanks in advance

Where did your fiance buy the band?  Call the jeweler about this.

I agree. Ask the jeweller. You dont want the setting to be off. And worst case scenario, you wind up losing it.

    Yup, contact your jeweler directly.

I kinda feel like it's common sense to contact the jeweler you got the ring from...

and make sure your FI isnt going to be offended if you start changing things!  I know mine would have been.. he put a lot of thought and effort into making my ring what he thought was perfect for me, so because of that even if I wanted something to be different, I woudlnt have done that because I know it meant a lot to him that he picked it out and designed it himself with me in mind.

I used to work at a jewelry store. The jeweler will remove the head (the prongs that hold the diamond) and place it into another band. Takes about 30 mins or so. It's a standard and easy fix.

I still have all my work done at the store where I used to work because it's family owned and operated...they do all their repairs on site and don't send anything out except watches to the manufacturer for repair. I always recommend going to a reputable jeweler because some of your chain stores just can't offer that.
