Anyone who had a CC room block - where did you find the best rates?

I am blocking rooms at the Omni, $165 a night. I got a quote from the Holiday in on Arch for $135 a night. I inquired into the Best Western on Front and they never got back to me.

I think ysl called a million different hotels... hopefully she chimes in... or you could page her.

Yes, I def called a million hotels.  The rates will vary on the weekend depending if there's a big convention going on or not.  Our wedding is on a convention weekend so we got crazy inflated quotes from places like Lowes, doubletree, sheraton, hyatt, marriott, etc. which were all over $200/night except for these two which we finaly booked:

Hilton Garden Inn (Convention Center) - $139/night regular room - $159/night junior suite

Courtyard Marriott Center City - $159/night regular room
