Shower + Checks off my to-do list = good weekend

My mom flew out from California for our wedding shower this weekend (which was SO much fun). My friends threw a hawaiian themed "Jack & Jill" shower it was so nice to have our family & friendsfrom all over there to celebrate with us! We also did our final cake tasting (I changed my mind at the last minute & our baker was so gracious to let us do a second tasting with 3 of her newest flavors while my mom was here so she could be part of the fun!) We finally settled on Caramel Cream Cake with Apple-Pear butter (my mouth waters just thinking about how yummy it is!) LOL While my mom was out here we also used TONS of 50% off coupons at Michaels to get most of the floating candles for our reception. & last night we made all of the reserved signs for the ceremony & reception (PIB) and we did a mock-up of the menu card (PIB). I feel like we made some major progress on my "to-do" list & we had a wonderful time with our family & friend at our shower. I'm off to start my thank you cards for the shower gifts. :-) Anyone else have a shower this weekend? What progress did you make on your to-do lists for your weddings?

I am glad you had such a great and productive weekend! All my showers are now come and gone- which is fine with me.   (They were high drama.) But we did purchase all the plates, utensils, etc. at Sam's Club this weekend, as well as got Fi's wedding band in the right size finally so- check, check!  Good job!

mouse, you had a productive weekend! :-) & yea for getting your FI's ring. You only have 2 months left right? I can't wait to see pictures of your wedding in the Bertolin Barn (what an awesome venue)! Since seeing pictures of Bertolin on your bio I've been waiting to see how it all comes together for you guys!

Thanks chel!  Yup- two months from tomorrow! I am getting excited, but also feel that I have a lot to do!  I am sure you are feeling this way as well... Your wedding is sooner than mine!  Are you ready???  I know that is a stupid question- will we ever be ready???

BTW- the Devil's thumb Ranch looks awesome!  I love it- I want pics too!  i also love that escort card idea.  It is rustic, yet easy.. I may have to copy...   If I remember right are you in the Front Range area????

yep, we are about 6 weeks out (holy guacamolly!) I got quite a few things done on my list while my mom was here this weekend...but now we need to finalize our ceremony so I can work on our programs. FI needs to start putting our music together on the ipod for our reception & we need to go get his shirt & tie. :-) yea, Devils Thumb Ranch is where we are getting married. I love it up there. That escort card idea is something that they do at DTR & thought it was so cute! I'm pretty sure they just used some fallen aspen trees, cut the trunks, made slices for the cards & have been using those for the escort cards at many of the weddings up there this summer. I will definitely post pictures when we get them back & can't wait to see everyone elses! I can't wait to see how everything comes together for all of the fall brides here on the CO board!

Sounds like you had a very productive and FUN weekend. I didnt get too much done but we found me a wedding band, YAY, and me and 2 BM's tied a bunch of ribbon to all of the bubble wands we just got shipped to us. :-)
