You are going to love Playa Mujeres, you are staying at Excellence? it's the only one I know in PM.

Do the bike tour. The one in the early afternoon. Get there 15 minutes early. The one later in the day gets to be a lot of bugs as the sun starts to set. It's a fantastic bike ride, and they take you through the part of the resort with animals. We saw awesome parrots, crocs, and a ton of other stuff, it was really neat. Highly recommend.

It was the most amazing time in my entire life!

Yes, I'm staying at Excellence!! I'm so excited. I was actually looking through your honeymoon pics a week or two ago and thinking that we have to do the bike ride! Fi will love that. Thanks for the advice. I'll make a note that we should go early in the morning.

    Only 34 more days!! Laughing

I can take a look at the schedule I think one was around noon  ish, and one around four ish... earlier one earlier one earlier one!

Any other questions, feel free to ask :-). I'm horribly horribly obsessed with the resort.

Did you do Excellence Club? or whatever they call it? It doesn't seem like it's worth the money.

They say for some of the resorts it's worth it, but not at all for this one. Even the "private" beaches weren't private, and we stayed on them and the regular one. There were no places on the beach/pools that "regular" guests couldn't go to. Even the heated pools outside of the excellence buildings, they were open to the public.

There was ONE room that excellence guests could use, they had computers and snacks in. BUT, on the 3rd floor of the main building, right above the lobby, there is a computer room with 3 computers with internet access. Also, wifi through out the whole resort. And they put desert out near the main lobby. And cafe kafe has ice cream during the day, AND you still get free room service 24/7.... so the snacks during the day ment nothing to me. You could also get snacks from the wait staff walking around near the steak house (where we had a few of our lunches). Nacho's = heaven. Burgers were good too. DH always got the saviche (SP?) but it was all cooked.

They say you get a beach bag if you are an excellence member, but you don't even get to keep it, you have to give it back before you go or you are charged $35 dollars. I liked them, so I just bought one at the begining of my trip.

They also have a gift shop with FABULOUS big hats, bring money to purchase one, as they were AWESOME.

Also, Flavor was a tapas restaurant, and was the only one I wasn't impressed with AT ALL. Can't go wrong with any of the others. I could give you a LENGHTY review of each restaurant so I'll hold off. But being an excellence member doesn't allow you any better access to restaurants either.

The ocean front were only excellence, but I had a "garden view" and as you can see from my FB pictures, we had an ocean view. None are ocean "front" as a pool is in front of it... you still have to walk through paths to get to the beach.

So no, I thought it to be a waste of money haha.
