[QUOTE]amer- mine is middle/lower right side. Yay Madam!! :) lemma- hahah oompa loompa. I have that fear of fake tans so I've never done it. Confess: it's only 10:30 and I already want to eat my lunch

Same here! But the bridesmaid dress I have to wear at the end of this month is like a gold/tan color and totally washes me out. So I really don't have a choice haha. Me and the other bridesmaids are getting them done tonight as a trial for the wedding. One of the girls (she has a similar skin tone to mine) got it done before and she said it looked great. But I'm still scared haha!

Vent 1: My acne scarred face keeps producing more acne and for the past year I've been consistently getting cystic ones (deep under the skin and they are painful) and they leave these ugly dark marks on my face. They grow in the same place...one leaves another one comes back and I always have at least one on my face. Right now I have THREE =(

Vent 2: Because of my scarring I decided to buy this airbrush make-up system called Temptu. It works really well to cover up all my scars and looks somewhat natural but gosh darnit why did it have to cost so much?? I paid $300 for this thing...and the other night I was looking online and found an online coupon that reduced the price to like $230! I really really hate missing out on a deal.

Oodsie - FI and I interviewed for an HGTV show last year too! (My First Place) but unfortunately, they didn't think we looked comfortable enough in front of the camera so they didn't select us. Gosh, it would have been sooo awesome to get one of our rooms in the house furnished for free!

YSL I have cystic acne too. I have one on my cheek, and its annoying. I get them all the time. I am trying to kill it, and its not working. I just hope it leaves and no other ones pop up before my wedding. Fat chance though. My MUA will have to pull a miracle lol. So I totally feel your pain!

AW- we had our details meeting last night, and I love our coordinator. She was so sweet. It was short and to the point, and all of the menu options have been finalized, so it feels great to have that done and over with.

Jess- hope you feel better (I'm jealous of your getting out of work early dispite what it's for)

I confess that once again I really want it to be Mid-April by now. I need the break from school badly.

YSL--I have been having a similar situation. I've had this cluster of acne on my chin for over a year, and it never goes away. I saw a dermatologist, and he prescribed me two medications. One is topical and one is a pill. The pill is actually a blood pressure medicine, but in young adult women, it helps relieve acne.

I would maybe see a dermatologist and see if that will help you. The medicine I'm on takes about 3 months before you really start seeing results. I've been taking it for about a month and a half... and I can already see my chin starting to clear up.

Spironolactone. And the topical medicine I'm on is Aczone. It's an antibacterial acne medicine.

I should add that I actually have dry skin. So I'm getting these awful breakouts on my chin.... but I have very dry skin everywhere else. And so far, this stuff hasn't dried me out at all, and I'm taking it everyday. The gel I put on twice a day.

I confess I'm relieved that H is back to work as of today. I'm happy that his leg is good, but I'm also happy that I won't be jealous getting up every day for a job that I hate while he stays in bed. I was drinking the haterade big time.

Dear Doc's office staff,
As the family member of a patient, and as an employee of the health system, I am very happy with the service and care H has received. I've personally been to other offices within the system and was not impressed with some of the staff, which is hard to swallow as a member of the HR Dept. Keep it up!
Thanks, Miguel's wifey

Confess: Today I am off from everything (Thank God). And I haven't gotten out of bed for more than 30 seconds today. I have so much work to do for school (so much for being on spring break) but I just can't motivate myself to do anything. Plus, I'm starting to work out again and the thought of doing any kind of exercising is making me tired. So thank you, 'that time of the month' for hitting me in the face with a break this morning at 4AM! and making me feel like bla today! Your the best.

AW: I have been invited to the national honors society, Sigma Theta Tau, today! This is so exciting since I transferred schools for my bachelors degree so I wasn't eligible to graduate with honors. Go me! :):)

B2B, YSL, RA...

Have you ladies ever tried changing your birth control to help control your acne. I know it only helps a little but if your already on birth control you can change to a brand that really helps like YAZ. Thats what I take and I stopped using it briefly and boy, did I miss it! It really made a difference with me, I went from pretty bad break outs to a few here and there.

Thanks ladies for all the advice and commiserating with me.

Unfortunately, I've tried everything. Dermatologist have prescribed me everything short of Accutane (that stuff that causes birth defects and I refuse to take it), Proactiv, birth control, skin ID, etc. So I'm not really sure what else to do. I might see the Dermatologist again because maybe they have something new I can try out?

On a brighter note, I can also AW that I've lost close to 10 lbs since last November and that I did end up scheduling our engagement pics to coincide with Cherry Blossoms. I'd love to tone up more and maybe lose another 10 lbs by end of March but I know it's probably not healthy to lose that much in such a short period of time.

Cdefran--I'm on a BCP that helps control acne. And I never suffered from acne until I became an adult. Like I said, I have very dry skin. I suffered from eczema when I was younger, and I've always had an issue retaining moisture in my skin.

I had to get a steriod shot to get rid of a really bad cystic pimple I had. It was gone within 36 of having the shot directly into the head of the pimple. Prior to that, I tried everything, including a specialized facial and nothing worked. Call your derm and look into it. It didn't hurt that bad if you can handle needles.

I got off the pill, and my skin was crazy then, and now too, its so stupid since I am almost 30. ugh.

RA - Do you exfoliate regularly? I have dry skin too, and it really really helps to exfoliate a few times a week. I can't do it every day because my skin's sensitive, but every other day is good for me. It gets rid of dry/dead skin and also keeps my skin from getting clogged with oils and dirt. I exfoliate first with St. Ives, then use facewash after.

RA- I have odd patches of skin on the back of my arms that won't retain moisture at all- the only thing I could use is BioOil. It's all that would actually work. I freakin' love it. Everyone has always commented on my arms and how they're so red on the backs of them. It looks like constant sunburn, but feels bumpy. My PA said it was the pores on my arms turning inside out looking for water. She recommended the biooil and it worked wonders.

I confess that I've been sleeping horrible at night, then am sleepy during the day. I think I'm going to fight through the urge to nap this afternoon so I can be exhausted tonight. H and I switched sides of the bed because of his leg, but I think it's making me uncomfortable and we need to switch back.

I do exfoliate. I use philosphy's Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash every so often... and I used to do a weekly peel, but I ran out. I also have a Clarisonic which I use whenever I wear makeup, which also exfoliates. I don't over exfoliate though.

My skin isn't nearly as flaky as it used to be. I also use an oil cleanse when I take off my makeup, which has helped my skin a lot.

HAHA Madam! I did this with a tank top last week. I was sitting watching a movie when I got home from work and was wondering why it was so uncomfortable LOL. Luckily I had worn a sweater over top of it all day!
