****Law Students/Lawyers****

I moved back to the area after graduating law school in California and studying for the Bar there. I just sent in my application to take the PA Bar in July. I started studying the MBE/federal subjects because I have my barbri notes.
For those of you who have taken the PA Bar, can you help me with a Bar prep course?  I only know of Barbri so would appreciate information on the other courses available and how effective they are...which is best for Bar passage.

Thanks so much!

When I did NY and NJ, I took Barbri live and PMBR.  When I did PA, I just did Barbri on an iPod.  I did like PMBR, and I reused those books when I took the PA bar.  However, they are only good for multiple choice.  I was happy with Barbri.  They get the job done.

When I took PA/NJ I did Barbri and PMBR. I did both the 3 day and 5 day PMBR. The combination of Barbri & PMBR helped me be well prepared. Like PP said, PMBR is just for the multistate.

I am taking Delaware this summer and am taking Barbri. I will just use my old PMBR books.

I took PA/NJ and did just BARBRI, I was actually registered for the 3 day PMBR (the firm I was with at the time paid for it), but I was so overwhelmed I actually skipped it and just used the books for extra review for the multi state.

I really liked BARBRI, its a lot and its nearly impossible to stay on schedule with all the work but it worked for me.  I don't know about their comparable pass rates but I did just fine doing bascially just the BARBRI.

    Good luck!

Yea, I did Barbri for California Bar. I am very familiar with that program and their insane schedule.  I had to stop looking at the checklist and just do my own thing.

I am only taking PA because I didnt know the deadline for NJ bar was the other day. Since i dont know that i am definitely going to be staying here (trying to go back to DC area), its not worth paying the extra late fee charge.

Ok, so i am getting a sense that barbri for the prep course and the 3 day PMBR course to boost my MBE score (since i suck at multiple choice)?

thanks for advice!   also, if you have any books i could borrow that'd be great too.
