Day of Wear

Hello All,
I don't post much, but I lurk a lot and know you ladies have great ideas.

What are you wearing the morning of the wedding? I know I need a button or zip front shirt so I don't have to pull it over my head after getting my hair and makeup done, but I am at a loss as to what. I don't own any shirts that are button up other than a few work dress shirts and I don't think I want to wear those. So, what are you wearing the morning of?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Day of Wear

  • what about a zip up hoodie? Wow, I hadn't even thought of this topic yet!

  • I bought some white pants from Old Navy and had "Mrs. new last name" monogrammed across the bum. As for the shirt, I'll either wear a button shirt (still to be found) or a zip up hoodie.

This exactly, except I got it on sale for $10 :)  I'm going to print Mrs. xx on it this weekend.  Not sure about bottoms yet, I guess it doesn't really matter.  Maybe just some black gauchos, so I'm comfy.

  • I found a cheap white tee at Target that has a wider neck and can easily be stretched over my hair.  I found iron-on rhinestones and put "Bride" on the front and "I do" on the back.  I will probably just wear comfy shorts/pants depending on the weather.

  • Thinking I'll steal one of FI's button-downs.  And I need to find a strapless bra to wear in the morning so I don't have marks on my shoulders at the ceremony or in pictures.

  • I actually just made mine last night! I ironed "bride" in rhinestones above the left boob area  and then spelled out Mrs. M.... 9.18.10 on the lower back. It was really easy and cheap (use those coupons!) The bride came as one and the letters as a little kit.

  • I have a deep stretchy Vneck from Old Navy, I'll wear that or an old button down shirt.

  • I have a pair of blue yoga type pants that I got from WalMart for $10 (or less, I don't really remember) and a white zip up hoodie ($5 from WalMart too) that I used iron-on rhinestones to put "Mrs. XXX est. 9.25.10" on the back. I will probably wear a black cami/tank top underneath too...

<div>this is me.  but it will most likely be something zip up (old hoody) for the top, and sweat pants for the bottom.  if i am wearing a big gown all afternoon and evening, i want to be as comfortable as i can be leading up to that moment.</div>

Thanks Ladies! I'll have to get shopping! Hoodies are a great idea. I knew you would be able to help me out! Comfort is definitely going to be key.
  • My friend got married in december and as one of the gifts to the bridesmaids she bought them all comfy cotton button downs with their monogram on the front to get ready in. I was thinking about doing this, but it ended being more than I wanted to spend. Such a cute idea though.
