I went on Saturday to see Rubi, she was so nice! I really didn't expect the first lesson to go that well either. I was wondering how many times you went for a lesson? And she showed me your video, I was like oh! That is Cara!

Haha, I haven't seen the video! She tried to send it to us, but it didn't work. That was taken the week of our wedding.  I'm glad you had a good lesson, she's a miracle worker! I wish she had videotaped us at the start of our first lesson and at the end. Such a complete 180 with just a few tips and steps.

Sorry, I didn't answer your question. We had one lesson in August and then went the week of the wedding for a refresher.  We didn't feel we needed anything more than that since we were just doing a normal dance, nothing choreographed, and we picked it up quickly.

Oh, only 2! I think I might go more than 2 times, just to be sure. I just want to look as natural as possible, I might change my mind after this week though. I guess we can always practice at home too. We are not doing anything crazy either, just normal dancing with a few spins and a dip at the end.  She said we did very good for the first lesson, she even said perfect a few times. I think the spin is hard because it is all me doing it! He just stands there   I guess I will just see how the lesson goes on Saturday to see if I want go one, or more times. I think we should go the week of the wedding though for sure.

Just do what you're comfortable with.  We didn't practice much, but we felt pretty good about it.  The brush-up lesson the week of the wedding was a huge help.

I think my problem is I worry too much. LOL  I also don't want it to look like, oh they took dance lessons. I think way too much.  I should be ok after this lesson though.

Oh and the song we are dancing to is Bruno Mars 'Just the way you are'. So it is not a slow song, but not fast, so it is just a little weird to dance to. I will be ok though, just have to stop over thinking everything.

Just relax and enjoy it.  Its nice when a bride and groom know how to move and do a few spins.  Its not so nice when you can see them counting their steps.
