I'm having trouble choosing a venue. My top runners at the moment at Merion Tribute House and Cairnwood. Both unique and give off entirely different vibes.
Cairnwood is elegant, recently restored, mansion-style home. It has a large terrace and several rooms throughout designated for dining and dancing. It is $$$ but if we can agree with the dining arrangement (no ballroom - dinner is held between 3 rooms), we can make it happen. A bit fancier than our style, but fits that "fairy-tale wedding" feeling.

Merion Tribute House is a historic memorial turned wedding venue. It is gothic, small castle-like. Terrace for cocktails and ballroom (OK - medium sized but nothing special in decor) I would describe it as rustic and charming. While it's more affordable, we'd need to spend more on decor. We'd also want a band here, whereas we'd do a DJ at Cairnwood. Didn't give the initial "wow" factor. But quaint and quirky - matches our personality.

Has anyone been to either place?
