December 2010 Weddings
um...2 YUMs!!!!
Ok so today I went to the baker that is making FI's groom cake. Her and I had discussed what we were doing on the phone and through email, but I hadn't tasted it or anything. So today she made me a sample It's Apple Spice cake with a roasted walnut cream filling and holy cow was it delicous, but that isn't what I'm refering to. Here's a pic of what she's doing for my FI's cake first, in case I haven't shared (FI eats sushi everyday and is obsessed)!
On my way out the door she packed me a couple of cupcakes for me and my assistant when I got back to work. This is a little piece of heaven on stinking earth!

Are you doing grooms cakes? If so, what are you doing and share inspiration pics if you have them!

I had thought about doing a groom's cake, but my FI doesn't really like cake....and already stated he wouldn't want one.
As for the groom's cake I think we'll do a Saints theme. Fiance recently told me he wants a giant cookie instead of cake.
I originally wanted a grooms cake, but our caterer serves SO many deserts that I thought it would be wasteful. I did make sure that they are doing an Italian rum cake for him, as it is his favorite.
