DH and I always do Valentine's Day low-key, but I am in the greatest mood today because he totally outdid himself.  He sent flowers to school for the first time EVER and I was totally taken by surprise. I picked up a season of Parks and Rec on DVD on the way home as a return gift and surprised him right back (again, we usually don't exchange anything on V-Day...it was god stuff).  We snuggled on the couch to indulge our nerdiness by watching Watson the computer play against Ken Jennings on Jeopardy, and I am now enjoying specially purchased Milk and Cokies Ben and Jerry's ice cream while snuggling with my dog and watching Westminster on TV

How did everyone's Valentine's Day go?

I'm here.  We are watching Easy A because there was nothing else at Red Box and we had a free movie code.  We don't really do anything for Valentine's Day.

I'm trying to pull the plug on those shoes.  I found another pair but they're patent leather.  Bad?    <- Clicky.

Too plain for my taste. I like a little something something, bow, bling, something... They are ok though. You can get shoe clips if you want too.

I just bought shoes after agonizing for weeks. I think B2B has it right - look at a lot of shoes, but buy the ones that you keep coming back to. There's a reason you keep thinking about them

DH is watching Tv and I just got finished picking out costumes formy recital .  We're so romantic

I didn't really put too much thought into my shoes.  After my first fitting, I went to DSW and found a pair with sequins that matched my dress and I bought them right there and then and then never looked at wedding shoes again!

You guys can come with if you want!  If you want to up the ante and go somewhere less kid-friendly we'll make it a DCL cruise to Alaksa or the Med. Then you can get some extra mileage out of the shoes and wear them to dinner on formal night.
