DD is a Mrs! Had a few stressful days, and a sketchy-weather start to our day, but it all turned out well. She was beautiful-he was handsome, the food was great....a good day.
) Just thought I'd give some quick vendor reviews: David's Bridal, York: A I know some girls have a bad experience there, but DB did great by us! We had a crisis 3 days prior, and they were able to get the bra size DD needed...plus DD bought a new dress the day before the wedding!! (Yeah, that's a long story...) Joseph Banks, Men's Wear: FAIL It's such a long, nasty story I won't go into it. The story boils down to a total lack of communication/organization between staff and rude staff refusing to help (one gm took 4 trips there before anyone would take the time to help him!). It all got sorted out the day before the wedding, but my advice: GO TO CENTRAL PA TUXEDO!!!!! Pheasant Run B&B: A+ The bridal party spent the weekend here since wedding location was nearby. Great accomodations, wonderful breakfast-very friendly hosts. Beautiful grounds for the pre-ceremony pics. My hubby and I would go there again, just for a quiet weekend retreat! Carr's Restaurant (Rehearsal Dinner): D- First of all, we were totally lost -wandering around the square in Lancaster trying to find the place....after we had to pay to park. The restaurant itself is very nice, the staff is nice and the food was great....when we finally got served. It was ridiculous how long we waited until they even took our order (we had several entree's to choose from), then I swear we waited 45 minutes until we even got our salad...then another 30 or more until we got our entree! By the time the dessert arrived, we were almost too tired to even eat it. We were there for 5 freakin' hours!!! Hess Tent Rental: A++ They were wonderful to work with! The tent came on a Wednesday, which was really awesome. Everything was great! Landisville Flower Shop: A+ Patti was our designer-she did an amazing job! They delivered half of the flowers to the B&B, then took the rest over to the site....that was just awesome for them to do that! The bouquets were everything that DD wanted. growersbox.com and the flowerexchange.com: A+ I was a little skeptical at ordering flowers online, but they arrived on time and in perfect condition. I will definitely order online again. I did the cake, so I can't rate it....although it was awesome, if I do say so myself.
) And the guests thought so too. Sei Catering, Lititz: B If you are looking for good, homestyle food- this is your caterer! YUM! Friendly folks and amazing food, but they get a "B" because I had a difficult time trying to reach them during our planning months. They also do not have much in the way of "presentation": some caterers will make a beautifully displayed buffet table...not Sei's. It's just food on the table...nothing fancy. One thing for sure- everyone had plenty to eat! I've been to weddings where the food ran low/out....not here! We'll be eating leftovers for the rest of the week! LOL Grand Events: A+ Although we greatly scaled down what GE was going to do for us, Nicole was absolutley wonderful to work with! We'll be back for other events to be sure! Jeremy Hess Photography, Daniel Hess Team: A+++ What can I say?! Daniel was AWESOME to work with!! He was so patient with us. During the ceremony and reception he was just kinda "there"...never offensive or intrusive...just in the background capturing the moments as they happened. At the end of the day he presented us with little personlized cards (to include in the thank-you notes) with the website info so we can view the wedding photos when they become available. Expensive? Sure, but it will be worth every penny! I am SO excited to see the pics! Thanks to all the local girls here and all of your help over the last number of months!
