Who Takes Up the Gifts?

Hi! I was wondering if there was a tradition as to who takes up the Gifts at the ceremony? Thanks!!

    no tradition but we used godparents

    The only requirement is that they are Catholic. We had my Godparents bring up the gifts! I was so glad to find a role for them. Some people have both sets of their parents bring them up. We couldn't do that because my parents are not Catholic and we didn't think it was fair to have one do it and not the other.
