Catholic Weddings

length

We decided not to have a full mass because the majority of the guests (his side) are not catholic. Kyle is in the process of being confirmed however.anyway... it is not a full mass but even the non mass ceremony seems quite long. How long do u imagine a non mass ceremony to be compared to a full mass?

It honestly depends on the size of your wedding, and how long winded your priest is.  WAys to make it shorter.  DO only one reading and the gospel instead of 2. Our priest even said, "These weddings can get really long so I would recommend one reading."  Don't do a unity candle.  Most priests advise not too as it is something hallmark created.

I agree with PPs, my priest told us about 45 mintues if we keep the extras to a minimum. :) A full mass would be an hour, since it has Eucharist.

Our ceremony included a Mass, but did not have the unity candle or presentation to Mary. Ours lasted 45 minutes. Based on that, I'd say about 30 minutes and no longer than 45 minutes.
