Pre-cana "weekend"

Anyone doing precana over  atwo day weekend that isn't connected? We originally were suposed to go in a few weels to teh engaged encounter weekend. But due to cost, we may have to do a part-one, part -two day sessions. I found one that has part two on saturday and part one on sunday on back to back days at the same location. But since they aren't connected, we would have different people on each day. Does anyone see a benefit to having the days be in the same weekend? Or does it not matter because the engaged encounter is completetly different altogether?

If cost is a concern for the engagement encounter weekend, talk to the diocese sponsoring it to see if they have any help in funding it. My FI and I did the EE weekend and it was the most wonderful weekend. We got to know the 2 married couples presenting and the priest running the weekend is the one marrying us. Actually, our priest is the one who told the group about this. He said our diocese will turn no one away that wants to do this weekend and if monetary help is needed, all they need to do is ask. At the end of our weekend, we had a group mass and a basket was passed around asking if you could afford a little extra to help those couples who need it. Many people contributed. I personally don't think I would like the two day with different people. I really enjoyed getting to know the people in our weekend. By the second day, everyone really started to open up. It was a great experience.

Our priest gave us a choice. we could do the engaged encounter which is like $300 or we can do a one day thing which was $110. See if you can go to a Precana one day work shop instead.
