Holy thursday was beautiful! How did the foot washing go for you and your FI?
I cried today at the Good Friday service. I've never gone before. What a beautiful funeral was all I could think.

    How was service last night?! I thought all three (thurs-sat) were beautiful and such a great experience. The foot washing was good. A unique experience that I'm so glad I was able to have. Good Friday service was so touching. We came home from that service and watched the Passion of the Christ....FI had gotten it for me for christmas and we hadn't watched it yet. Thought Friday was a fitting day to do that.

    Last night was unbelieveable. It really was wonderful. I'm glad that I am old enough to remember it - unlike most kids who get confirmed. I really am just so happy about it all!!!

    I cried through most of the Passion of the Christ movie. My dad took me when it first came out.
    I'm so glad you enjoyed the experience! Everyone who got baptised at my church was smiling ear-to-ear. I was so happy for them to experience the baptism.
    I'm happy to be confirmed. What a wonderful experience. The oils smelled amazing!! My sponsor kept smelling me from that point on. HAHA

    What did you receive as confirmation gifts?
    I got two rosaries (one is a pocket Rosary, so it only has one set of beads. My mom gave me a cross to hang with the Lord's prayer engraved on it. My sister gave me a tealight holder with a prayer on it and an angel. My sponsor gave me a cross with a prayer for First Communion and a pendant.

    My mom said I looked so incredibly happy.

    Awww!!! I know...it's funny how close you feel to people on these boards even after just a few conversations!

    As for gifts, I was quite shocked at how generous people were. My FI got me a silver cross neclace. FMIL got me a beautiful rosary made in Ireland. FFIL got me another rosary (crystals), a locket with Mary on it, and a little booklet/CD of prayers. A family friend got me a gorgeous pearl rosary (I now have 3 in total!!) and a cross to set on a shelf in the house. FI's aunt got me a stand-up photo album with a nice delicate cross on it.

    All the gifts were wonderful and I'm so appreciative!
