Confession poll of the day! :-)

When you go to confession, what do you say afte having said your sins to let the priest know that you're finished?

I usually say, "And that's everything I can remember."

LOL...I usually just kind of stammer to a stop. Then there's a bit of a pause, while he makes sure I'm done, then he starts with his wisdom.

I usually spit out a string of stuff and then some sort of, "that's all I can think of right now." Finding a way to end confession is always awkward to me, especially because I know there's stuff out there that I've forgotten or things that I had reflected on during examination of conscience that ends up going poof! I know those things are forgiven if I'm sincerely desiring to confess them, it's just the awkwardness, as lalaith said.

I also usually say something along the lines of other things that I've forgotten.

Katieanne - I like your line. I will start saying that. I usually just blurt out everything and then say "I think that's it".

I always say, "I am sorry for these and all the sins of my past life". I believe this is what I was taught to do when I did first confession.

I always end awkwardly, too... Or the priest cuts off my rambling because there's a line of people behind me!  I usually have to scrawl down what I can think of beforehand on a piece of paper in order to be efficient.  I also think I'll borrow KatieAnne's conclusion :)

I usually just stop and he asks me if that is it lol.  I think I'm going to start using the "and for anything else I've forgot" line, I like that much better

I either wait for the priest to start giving me advice and then ask if that's it or end with "and these are my sins".
