Requesting prayers for my Grandma

I never ask strangers for prayers, but with this being a Catholic board and knowing how strong most of your faiths are, I wanted to give it a try...

....My Grandma has had a really rough go these past few months with CHF, pneumonia and a few other setbacks along the way. Now she may have had a stroke. This is a very strong woman with tremendous faith, in a 68 year true love story that has endured more than most people can imagine. If you could take a moment to pray for her, it would mean the world to me. I am heartbroken for my Grandfather who is the most devoted man ever, will not leave her side unless someone is there to stay with her, and sleeps in a reclining chair. He will only leave her unattended to go to Church and do his one hour midnight watch every first Friday. He could use some prayers, too.

Thank you.

Thank you all! My Grandma is not doing well, BUT she is alert and responsive. She was diagnosed with MRSA today. I know she won't ever be well, but I just want her "better".

You know how when it rains it pours? My 94 year old Aunt "fell" yesterday-she has not walked in three years, even with a walker, and the nursing home says she fell while walking, but upon further griling, someone admitted she fell during the wheelchair to bed transfer last night-and is badly bruised with a fractured eye socket. Then, to make it 3 for 3-my cousin's four year old daughter (also my flower girl to be for next week's wedding) was diagnosed with mumps today. It has been one rather bad news year for our famliy.

So, all your prayers and well wishes for my family are greatly appreciated!

  • Well, seeing that your weddin is next week, I had better keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming
  • A bit late, but sending more prayers your way for both your aunt and grandmother!  MRSA is not cool :-(
