Taking Charge of Your Fertility

I've heard about this book and as far as I can tell the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) that the book teaches is basically the same as NFP.  Has anyone read this book?  Are there any differences between FAM and NFP?

Condoms. FAM allows the use of condoms (or other barrier methods, spermicide, contraceptive film, etc.) during the fertile phase.

    Ditto Bel.

While FAM does allow for condom/barrier use, even the author of TCOYF thinks this is somewhat risky since you are knowingly having sex when you are fertile.  if you should have a condom break, you'd be putting yourself in a precarious situation.

Highly recommend this book.  I self taught myself the method by using this book, and from research and questions on boards.

Thanks ladies!  I was think that having this book around for reference would be easier than keeping track of all the loose paper we were given at the NFP classes.

Just wanted to add that I used this book as well and found it so extremely helpful, I recommend it to anyone (even those who have no interest in charting) because it has great informaiton about women's health in general.
