Not sure what your budget is...  We are having our reception at Castel Castagna it is the ballroom at Visaggios in Mechanicsburg.  They have a beautiful patio area outside for ceremonies too.

Another one of my favorites is Lauxmont Farms.

We're having our reception at the Yorktowne in downtown York.  You can have the ceremony there for $200 (give and take) if you do the reception there as well.

    Good luck!

I've also been looking for a venue in the York/Lancaster area. What is your budget and how many guests? We're doing approx 100 people and have mainly been looking in York/Lancaster area.

I woul d avoid Lauxmont Farms (Wrightsville) because unless you are getting married on a Friday or Sunday in the off season (i.e. not May, June, Sept, Oct) they charge anywhere 3-7,000 depending on the site you choose there and there really is no rain option unless you use their Rotunda. They can also have multiple events going on in one day and all the guests share 1 parking lot (i.e. a grass/dirt hill at the end of a long, bumpy dirt road) unless you use the Rotunda.

I have looked at Lime Spring Farms in Lancaster-beautiful! but expensive- $6500, which does not include catering or ceremony chairs or cocktail hour high top tables or chairs or linens. if you've got a big budget, I would look here. I think they may offer a bit of a discount for Friday or Sunday weddings but not 100% sure.

I did check into Heritage Hills a bit and they weren't badly priced. The guy estimated $7000 for ceremony and reception, but I don't think that included alcohol.

Not sure that was much of a help, but might give you a few things to think about.

We are thinking we are going to have about 150-175 guests.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I am going to check out the Stone Mill Inn in York and Carroll Valley Resort in Fairfield.  My friend got married at Heritage Hills last year and it was gorgeous!!!!!!!!

I'm getting married in York with a guest listof 175-200, and these are the places I looked at:
Stone Mill Inn, Lauxmont Farms, Heritage Hills, Outdoor Country Club, Valencia Ballroom, York Expo Center, Wisehaven Ballroom...
and we finally picked Royal Manchester Golf Links.

Good luck, and if you want anymore info on any of those places, let me know!

I am having my reception and wedding at the Susquehena Club about 15 north of York. We are paying for the wedding ourselves and for a sit down dinner with champagne toast, cake cutting fee included is running us around $33 per person. It is a very nice place as well and since our wedding is in November outdoor venues were not an option.

We are having our renewal at Ski Roundtop in Lewisberry, PA.  Altland House Catering on George Street in York is who should be contacted.  They also do catering at the Valencia, Liberty Forge Golf course and a few others.  Their food is great and roundtop during the summer time has beautiful ceremony locations.  Their fee's are all inclusive as well, no hidden charges.  If you are interested talk to Christie Geist from Altland House.   (877) 848-8257
