Fabric to Decorate top of Tent?

Does anyone know where I could rent the fabric to have the draping effect at the top of my venues tent. My venue doesn't come with the fabric stuff, so I'm thinking I want it, but don't even know where to begin. And don't want to spend a fourtune. Thanks for the help and let me know if this makes no sense at all.  I couldn't get the picture to post right.

Good luck. It costs a fortune. The only place I have found a tent liner (the drapey stuff) is through Finch Rental in dayton. (Disclaimer: i did not look at Cinci rental companies as they were consistently higher on the tent prices alone...I figured they'd be higher on everything else). They only have certain sizes of tents (not my size), and will only install tent liners in their tents. The cost of their tents was outrageous compared to other Dayton Vendors (Kosins, Party Time, L&H) and the liner was an additional $2000 including tax and installation. Then again, if you don't think $2k for RENTING draped fabric is highway robbery, then by all means, call them today.

Who is your tent rental company?  I'm sure they should have some suggestions-- and then let the haggling begin :) I agree with everything Stosha said-- this whole wedding rental business is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG highway of robbery :)

I'm assuming this is what you wanted, right? http://www.finchrental.com/tents/tentliners.htmlYeah, good luck.If you just want some stuff on the poles, just go to JoAnns and buy some cheap white (or whatever color) fabric and tie to the poles.

I agree--you aren't likely to be able to rent this without shelling out serious money. Just work to bring the focus to your tables and add some romantic touches (like the fabric stosha suggested, or lots of paper lanterns, or twinkle lights) and no one will miss the fabric on the tent top.

When I was planning we looked into (okay this is random so bear with me) CURTAINS from Ikea. They have VERY long curtains there that are perfect for the draping effect. I ended up using tulle that my mom bought online, but the ikea curtains were really nice too!

Maybe renting a couple dramatic chandeliers or getting some color wash or patterned lighting would be cheaper than renting the draping? Although I don't know how much that would cost either.
