Vendor Reviews 7/18/09

Vendor Reviews for our 7/18/09 Wedding... All Occasions Rentals (aorents.com) provided the tent, chairs, linens, glasses, lighting and more for our outdoor wedding. They were WONDERFUL to work with and did a great job with everything. Expensive but worth it. A+ Leah Robbins (leahrobbins.com) was our photographer and I absolutely LOVE her! She was easy to work with, very creative and her pictures are amazing! Plus, I thought her prices were very reasonable for how good she is. A+ We hired Croswell Bus Company (croswell-bus.com) to shuttle our guests back and forth from the hotel to the wedding/reception location. I highly recommend doing the shuttle and using Croswell, it made a huge difference to our guests. It was definitely worth the expense. A+ Gina Bush (thecakegirlonline.com) made the cupcakes for our wedding and there wasn't a single one left at the end of the night! They were delicious and she was so sweet. She's a teacher who makes the cakes out of her house! Very affordable, too. A+ We had outdoor barbeque-style food, for which we used John Hollatz at Schmidt's Meats and Catering. John was a very sweet man and everyone seemed to like the food. It wasn't your average wedding fare, but it worked for our wedding. Extremely affordable! A A friend of a friend did the flowers (Kim Wilson - she was amazing!!) and the wedding and reception were located at a private residence...so the above vendors are the only ones I have to pass along recommendations for! They were great!

One more... J Stephen Conn was our officiant (jstephenconn.com) and he was great. So sweet, easy to work with, and he brought his wife to help coordinate which was a life saver! A

Also, we had the girls at Matt Bradley Salon in Hyde Park do our hair and they did an amazing job. Carrie did mine and I couldn't have been happier! Jenny did my makeup and she was awesome, too. Kind of expensive, but worth it (especially if you've ever had a prom hair disaster...)
