Let this be a warning to those looking for a Sarasota based photographer!
I contacted this photographer through the Ritz Sarasota's preferred vendor list. I figured someone from that list would be trustworthy and very good. Completely wrong!! There are so many things that this woman did that I can't list them all. She's so unbelieveable and anti-marriage and unprofessional beyond anything I could ever imagine.
I emailed her as soon as I knew we were getting married and she was very slow to respond over email. Then I called her and set up a date to meet and arrange a contract and engagement photos.. My fiance and I are in tampa, so it's not super easy just to drive to Sarasota whenever and have very limiting schedules anyway. She cancelled our first appt because it was raining, which cleared by 1 pm anyway.
The next appt we made (running out of weekends) was recently, just two months before our wedding date. She cancelled by emailing me at the last minute, less than 24 hrs in advance saying she had an "emergency" wedding come up and had to cancel our pictures!! I called to question her, and she turned it around on me saying I'm so rude and so mean and she's not my slave and doesn't have to do engagement pictures if a wedding comes up! she can do whatever she wants and can't say no to a wedding! she was so horribly rude it makes my stomach hurt just to recall it all. My fiancee called her back a little while later and she told him that she's thinks someone nice like him shouldn't get married to me!! what??!?!
how can someone ever say that in the wedding business?? and then she spills the truth about being married for 25 yrs and tells him she's divorced and has 2 kids and is trying to make money for herself and blah blah! well maybe she shouldn't have lost our business!!
anyway we got lucky and were able to book a really well known and reliable photographer that very day. However, she severely limited our options in terms of our engagment photos which were supposed to make our reception entrance since we have like 2 weekends free before the wedding.
I just wanted to warn everyone out there about this dangerous, untrustworthy, and evil woman who pretends to love marriage and try to do everything for you, then just drops you and insults you and says horrible things to you at the last minute. Seriously, if you want to save yourself the pain and difficulty, beware. She's on the Ritz vendor list and I'm working with them to remove her. Her name starts with an S. if you want more info, let me know. there are plenty more horror stories.
