Your reviews of online Bridal Gown Sites PLEASE!!!

Daughter has fallen in love with a Maggie Dress that is way out of our budget at a brick and mortar bridal salon, however we have found it online so considerably less.

Looking for your recommendations of sites you may have used and your experience with them.

Thank you in advance.

I personally wouldn't take the risk of buying the dress online, you don't know that you are going to be getting the same thing, if you get something similar it will probably be made cheaply.

My suggestion is going and trying on other dresses, I thought I loved on but then tried on my dress and realized I was just settling on the other one. Depending on your daughters wedding you could also wait to order her dress during a Maggie trunk show like I did.

Check Jay's Bridal - they're a brick and morter store in Gainesville, but also do online sales. If you sign up for their emails, they send out coupons pretty regularly.

I used RK Bridal (which also has an actual store in NYC) for my bridesmaids dresses. They also have wedding gowns. They have good deals and will beat any other online dress price by 5%.

I've also heard good things about NetBride and Pearls Place.

Hope that gives you a good place to start! Good luck!

The Maggie Company sets a minimum MSRP that stores are allowed to sell the dresses for. If you find it for less than the MSRP on-line it is probably a cheaply made knock-off. I would suggest taking a picture of tjhe dress to some other bridal stores since most of the designers make similar styles and you may be able to find that style for less money.

If you don't mind the knock-offs, Netbride has great reviews.  They won't use the same materials usually...for example, you can't get a real silk gown for $200.  I thought about doing it, but decided against it just in case something was wrong with the dress and I couldn't physically bring it to someone to fix it.  I ended up spending $1,000 more on my dress than expected and my justification was that I will be selling it either on TK or preownedweddingdresses.com after the wedding.  I'm going to get an artist friend to do a pencil sketch and frame it so I will always be able to look at it.
