I went to the probate court website (
http://www.probatect.org/marriagelicenses/index.htm) and clicked on "Online Marriage License Request). Filled out the info (need SS#, job titles, addresses, full names, parents' full names - maiden names for mothers, etc.) You also need to say whether or not there are any previous marriages, which there weren't for us. I sent it in about 10 am Thursday and got it back in my email about 9 am Friday saying we were approved (weird subject heading "Dear Scott and Amanda," - glad I didn't miss it!) Got there about 12:30, 10th floor of the Taft building on 9th St downtown. No one else was there, only one not very enthusiastic employee. 5 minutes and we were done. All we needed was our IDs which she barely looked at. Oh, and $45 cash, MC or Visa. Thanks for everyone's help the other day! So glad to have this off my checklist - feels official now!
