A/b JD Hughes...Did you find him hard to get ahold of? We were emailing nicely on a fairly regular basis about meeting, but all of a sudden he stopped answering my emails? I know I should be patient b/c he is prolly just busy with other weddings and his radio show, but I want to meet with him sooo bad!

Honestly, I haven't had a problem contacting him thus far. I do know he has a lot on his plate (which worries me in a way). He works for 2 radio stations, does weddings, and his a marriage and divorce counselor! I don't know how the man has enough time for himself! I would keep trying...when I was able to meet with him, I was expecting your typical 1-hr meeting to just get to know one another and talk about financial things. We ended up spending 3.5 hours in panera talking about everything under the sun. He is much much much more than a DJ. He has a billion and 1 different ideas for entertaining your guests. As for communication, so far he has been awesome. He might be on vacation! I would wait it out another week. I am a little worried, myself... I was listening to one of his stations the other day and he was talking about how he was going on this Alaskan cruise for a week and to call in to win tickets (yatta yatta) and the cruise ends THE DAY B4 MY WEDDING! I have been meaning to email him about this, but havn't gotten around to it. I will probably email him this week and I will let you know if he gets back to me! Good luck! Thanks I appreciate the info... Like I said I'm trying to be patient haha but I'm excited to meet him b/c my mom loooved him so much the night she saw him DJ. PLUS, I'm excited b/c I know he knows what he is doing !! I'll just go back to waiting the week out :-(

i met him at the bridal show last week but forgot to ask what kind of price we are looking at...does anyone know what his base price is for weddings and how many hours that includes before i call him....

i think he is upping his prices soon (if not already). he had quoted me at 1095 for 4 hrs  - when i met with him he was asking me what he had quoted me bc he was in the process of increasing his prices. it is worth a call to see what his going rate is now. i know this is more than most DJs but he is much much more than a DJ. i think the entertainment is the most important part of the night (other than the sacrament of marriage). i just want my guests and myself to have a lot of fun!
