... it pours. So let me vent for a minute about how many unexpected expenses (some of them quite large) have come our way in the last couple of months (starting in late July).-Over $1,000 for my dog's ACL surgery-Several prescriptions for sinus/ENT issues... around $80-I left work the other day to a flat tire. Luckily I didn't have to call for the service (a coworker helped out) but I had to buy a new tire for $84 -FI was the Best man for a friend's wedding in early August. Several of the guys were no-shows (after confirming their attendance previously), thus sticking FI (i.e. both of us) with the rest of the PartyBus bill... around $180 extra for that-And now we need to have termite treatment to our house... $730!!!! (It can be broken into quarterly payments... but you do the math, and it's still a lot of money). Seriously, we're about to lose it. We do not live extravagant lifestyles, and we are people of average means.... all this, while trying to save for our (already very inexpensive wedding of 200+ guests) has been very taxing. Our stress levels are high enough, but it just seems like the hits just keep on comin'Oh yeah... and his employer just changed their health insurance. They're going to the HSA (Health Savings Account). Pretty much, it boils down to "Hope I don't get sick before the wedding, because I won't be able to afford the premiums, etc." Thanks for listening.... stay tuned for requests for free help (and emergency margaritas). We're 53 days out, and I'm starting to panic. ~J
