Father/daughter Dance song

What is everyone using for this dance.  I first wanted Gary Allen's tought little boys when Dad said he didn't have a clue.  But last night he mentioned it to Mom about using Amanda by Waylen Jennings.  I think he thought of this b/c this is the song I was named after.  It isn't anything to close to father/daughter ish, but there is meaning behind it.  Mom made a comment that it might seem corny.  Not sure what to do at this point. So what is everone using or used.

I would NOT use the Waylon Jennings "Amanda".  It's my name too, but do you know the lyrics?  Amanda, Light of my life; Fate should have made you a gentleman's wife.  Might be seen as a dig to your new husband and those who don't know the story.  I have a father/daughter dance (passed away), but there are a lot of songs that come up when googled.  I did a disco dance with my mom.  It didn't have meaning, but it was fun!

I personally think it's hard to come up with anything that isn't corny or cliche for this song, and there isn't anything wrong with that! I think it's a unique song, and sweet to use the song you were named after. If you think guests might misunderstand why you are using it, or take it the wrong way, maybe have your dad or the DJ say a little something right beforehand. Also, I haven't picked out this song yet, so I'm no help there. Sorry!

We did "I loved her first" by Heartland.Corny?  Yep.  Overdone?  Yep.  But my dad really wanted it, and he had several FoBs to be come up to him when it was over to ask what song it was because they wanted to use it.

Can't go wrong with just "Just the Way you Look tonight" by Frank Sinatra. Reminds me "Father of the Bride" movie!

We did Heartland "I Loved Her First" too. I REALLY wanted Tough Little Boys by Gary Allen, but Dad wanted either My Little Girl by Tim McGraw or the Heartland song, so I went with his choice and did I Loved Her First

I'm a big Rascal Flatts fan so their song "My Wish" is a good one!
