Monetary donations

What is the going rate (monetary) for wedding gifts?

Usually whatever you are comfortable or able to give. For me if its immediate family or very close friends I obviously would give more as compared to a couple I was less familiar with.

Good question....I agree that it depends on who it is and where the wedding is.

However, a general rule I follow is---
at leat $75 if I go alone and at least $150 if I go with my fiance.  I am thinking I may need to increase it to $100 alone and $200 with my fiance given that I now know how expensive weddings are through my own planning!

it depends on the person and the wedding.  We tend to do $75 alone and $100-$150 as a couple.  But we had 4 people go in on a $50 gift card at our wedding.....so it really is whatever you can afford.
