Ring Bearer & Flower Girl outfits

Hi ladies!

I'm wondering what the etiquette is for purchasing the ring bearer/flower girl outfits.  Are the bride/groom responsible, or the family of the ring bearer and flower girl?  Both sets of parents have the means to pay, so it's not really about the money.  Just wondering if this is another cost that we need to add to our budget or not!

I don't know the etiquette on that, but I started looking at dresses and emailed FG's mom pictures just to see what she thought of them.  She emailed me back "I'll put her in anything you pick, just let me know what to buy".  I would plan it in your budget in case the families don't offer. I think it's awkward and rude to ask outright.
