Christmas gifts for FILs

I'm totally stumped this year with what to get my FILs for Christmas. FI is no help at all, since I've purchased the gift from the two of us and all his siblings for the past 4 Christmases. I have no clue what they ever did without me. haha

Anyway, what, if anything, are you planning to give your FILs for Christmas?? Maybe I'll get some good ideas!

Well FI picked out something specific for his mother and father, but together we normally give them a gift card to one of their favorite restaurants.  This year we decided to do something different and ordered them a gift basket filled with breakfast items (pastries, fancy english muffins, jellies, coffee, etc.) since they love that kind of thing.  I thought at first it was kind of generic, but since it is something I know they will actually appreciate and enjoy Ithink it will be good for them.

FI takes care of his family and I take care of my family.

His dad is getting a deer calendar (like every year) and a gift card to Gander Mountain

His mom is getting a book that she requested, a scarf, and gift card to Herbeger's

His brother is getting a nice spotting scope for hunting

His other brother who is 21 and has downs is getting 2 DVDs and a sweatshirt

I find it easier when we take care of our side of family and often when we are stumped, gift cards are the way go in our families. His family is always appreciative of ANYTHING though.

His mom collects the village porcelain christmas pieces so we usually get her a really nice one to add to her collection.  We got his dad a golf gift card and a Star Wars ornament.  We got his little sister a video game she wanted and some crafts stuff.

We shop together but mostly I do my family and he signs his name, and he does his family and I sign my name.

For his family, we got his mom an exercise watch for timing her runs and swims, we are chipping in towards a new recliner for his stepdad, for his dad and stepmom we are giving a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant, and for his stepdad's parents (they have been in his life since he was 6, and I am very close with them - Gramma came wedding dress shopping with me and we spend many holidays with them) I think I will do some baking and drop it off.

We got FMIL a calender. We got FFIL a tool pouch. Then together we got them Yogi movie and a panini maker. FSIL we got some oven mitts and dish towels. And for FSIL's bf, we got him a tool set to go in the car.

FIL's are so hard to buy for! They have just about everything you could think of and then some lol So we are getting them tickets to the theatre/ a concert/ dinner theatre ... we only decided this today so we haven't chosen the actual show yet but pretty much anything that give them an excuse to get off the farm is good

Fi and his brothers never exchange gifts and they rather not.  His parents say they never want anything but we always get them something.  This year we got them engagemnt pictures (they don't know we even got them done) and got them framed and we also bought then cirque du soleil tickets.

His mom always creats a list for us since she makes us all make a list for her. For my FIL he usually gets anything Patriots related because he is a huge fan. For my SIL and BIL my FI and I and their boyfriend & Girlfriend we do couples gifts and set a minimum on how much for each couple that way we aren't buying a ton of gifts and we are trying to save also.

They never exchange gifts (correction...they never get FI or I anything, but FI gives them stuff), so since we're tight on money, we're not getting them anything.

I think I'm getting FMIL a video game (the lady loves her computer games) and will probably make FFIL his chocolate chip raisin cookies that only he likes.  We're keeping it simple this year.

We usually shop together, though I let him pick out his parents gifts. This year his mom is getting a pandora charm, I'm not sure what we are getting his step-father. As for FBIL's, the younger one (13) is getting soic action figures and the older one, idk but something small because he has a daughter so we'll use the money from his gift to get something too.

We're getting wireless ipad speakers for his dad (he loves his ipad and uses it 24/7). We got his mom the new Michael Chricton book and a handmade vase from a local pottery shop.

Ditto we are doing this as well.  Also his mom asked for the most recent harry potter movie, we are also getting her a pandora charm for her bracelet, we are getting his grandma movie theater tickets and his dad a nice sweatshirt from LL Bean and a bottle of wine.
