Vendor Review Part 3

Almost done...
Wedding Dress: Bridal and Formal  http://www.bridalandformalinc.com/)  The consultant that helped me (Lindsey) is no longer there but she was amazing.  She found my dress for me and it was perfect but nothing I would have tried on.  The dress came in on time and I have no complaints with Bridal and Formal.  I really appreciated the size of their collection and their varied prices.
Bridesmaids Dresses:  JCrew (http://www.jcrew.comI gave my bridesmaids multiple choices.  I just asked them to pick a Jcrew dress in the color graphite and in the silk chiffon fabric (in the shorter length).  They had four or five choices.  They looked beautiful and interesting because most of them chose different styles.  The wedding department at Jcrew’s website were really helpful for determining the right size and style.  Highly recommended!
Alterations: Stitches by Pauline (http://www.stitchesbypauline.com/)  I got Pauline’s name off of this board.  Pauline was great.  She was helpful, forthright about price and worked hard to make sure my dress was perfect.  I also thought her prices were very reasonable.
Guest Book:  Rag and Bone Bindery (http://www.ragandbonebindery.com/index.asp)  I looked for a guest book that I liked forever and ordered this one very last minute (about a week and a half before the wedding). They really helped me, made sure it came on time and sent a beautiful product!

Hotel: Fountain Square Westin….meh. The room we had was beautiful and was provided at a great rate.  But, I was told before reserving a block of rooms that they had a garment steamer, they didn’t.  They lost a couple hospitality bags and some of the people at the front desk were really rude.  However, they were very helpful to my mom with the breakfast she threw the next day and some of the front desk people were very helpful and polite.  You certainly couldn’t beat the view or the giant bed with the fabulous bedding.  Mini Moon:  We went to the West  Baden in French Lick http://www.frenchlick.com/hotels/westBaden/index.jsp  We are going on a “real” honeymoon this summer but wanted to get away for a little bit.  The hotel and the grounds were beautiful.  During the week it wasn’t too crowded (we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves for hours one night).  Between West Baden and French Lick there were lots of eating options.  There is a casino and a golf course three miles away at French Lick resort.  We didn’t go there but have heard good things.  Overall, the experience felt very luxurious for the price and was just what we needed.  It’s relatively close at only 3 hours away.
Shower Location: Trio (http://www.triobistro.com/)  I just wanted to mention Trio briefly.  I don’t know anything about cost but what I do know is that the food was delicious and the customer service was really incredible.  Yay for them!

Hi! Thanks for the awesome reviews! I have a question about JCrew Bridal. Can you buy bridesmaids (or bridal) dresses online and then return them in the store? What is their policy like for these kinds of things? I dont know where to go to try on their gorgeous bridal gowns!

    TIA

You can definitely return things to the store. I really recommend emailing ashley@jcrew.com  She is their bridal consultant.  She will be super helpful regarding fit, care of dress, suggestions, shipping etc.   Also, go here to see where you can see the bridal dresses (I would probably call first)  http://www.jcrew.com/wedding.jsp#/5   It looks like the closest is chicago.
    Hope that helps!
