recommend your florist

I am looking for a florist for my wedding next May.  I have seen Katie Elfers name come up a lot on the board and have been trying to contact her for over a month. I have pretty much given up on her. 

Please let me know if you loved your florist!  Thanks

I read here on the knot that Katie Elfers has recently changed the name of her business and has a different web site. I tried to reach her as well and had no response. I think because I was visiting the wrong site.

I contacted Katie last week and haven't heard back yet, but I know it's pretty busy right now, so I'm trying to be patient. 

However, I did meet with Mindi of Two Little Buds.  She was fantastic!  Her price was significantly below the others I've met with so far, and she had great ideas.  I highly recommend giving her a call.

Email her - she is VERY busy this time of year and if you sent the contact through the old website, it didnt get to her. I will tell you it is worth the wait - she is amazing.

I just met with Sherwood Florist in Kettering (Dayton area) yesterday. They were awesome and so helpful. I really don't know much about flowers but their floral designer worked with me to find flowers/colors I would like to help create what I hope will be awesome bouquets. I would definitely recommend at least calling and meeting with them.

I am going with Susan Foy. My budget is very small for flowers and not only did she stay within my budget, she is giving me the same thing that another florist quoted me double for. She is also great to work with. My wedding is not until October but so far I would highly recommend her!

I used Jeff Green with HJ Benkens and he was AMAZING!!!  He went way above and beyond what a typical florist would do.

When I was looking for a florist, I also looked into Katie Elfers.  It took her awhile to contact me back at first, but when she finally did we set up an appointment.  She emailed me the night before and said she couldn't make it but to email her back and let her know if I was available the next day or the day after.  My email gets sent to my phone so I git her email right away and responded immediately saying that either worked for me.  She didn't reply to my email for over a week (mind you I immediately responded to her email and she asked if I could meet the next day or day after so presumably she would check her email before then and reply to me).  This really upset me (to me if you are a wedding vendor and it is your livelyhood, you make every effort to respond to your clients and potential clients ASAP).  I was also contacting Jeff at this point in time and he responded to my emails within a day.  I knew if I had that much trouble with her contacting my in a timely matter that early on it would be the same throughout the process.

I know that many girls on here have used her and she did an awesome job for them, but to me even if she would do an awesome job, if she causes this much stress by not getting back to people it's not worth it at all.  And there have definitely been A LOT of posts on here since I've been on for the past year and a half about people having trouble getting a hold of her.

I used Susan Foy, the Wedding Designer for my March wedding.  She did an AMAZING job with my bouquets and centerpieces!  I am still getting compliments! She is easy and fun to work with.  Check out her website - she has tons of photos of her work!  She will respect your budget and give you a super-detailed quote down to number of stems.  She will do exactly what you ask for OR if you are unsure of what you want, she will listen to you to get a feel for what you are looking for and then make suggestions.  She is an artist!
