Hawaii Honeymoon Reviewed!!!

We just returned from out 8 day Hawaii Honeymoon and already we miss it! We had a blast, we went to Oahu only no other islands.

We stayed at the coconut waikiki (rated #1 on trip advisor) It was great, no complaints but next time we'll likely pick somewhere else.

We booked all activities with the conceriege at the hotel, we went snorkeling, parasailing, on a sunset dinner cruise, luau, and pearl harbor tour. On our own we went to the zoo and shopping and dining.

There is a fantastic japenese restaurant called Gyu Kaku on Lewers street that is amazing, a few blocks from the beach. We also went to the hard rock to eat, chilies (since we dont have one locally) Dukes off the beach which was also pretty good.

8 days was certainly not enough, there was so much more to do, the food isn't that much more expensive then anywhere else depending on where you go. Gas is very expensive we ended up walking or taking the bus where we needed to go rather then renting a car.

We spent $2500 on the hotel/air combo through sams club travel and $917 on the booked activities mentioned above. We probably spent about $800-$1000 on food and snacks, maybe not quite that much we haven't totaled it all up yet.

Anyway, we had a fantastic time, just wanted to share some reviews :)

we stayed at the coconut waikiki also!  we were there from august 1-6.  i bought reserved the room on a wednesday through their website and got a great deal on our stay.  we were upgraded to a 9th floor corner room with a great view of the mountains and canal.  it was a basic hotel, no real amenities besides a simple breakfast in the morning.  however, we were gone for most of the time we were there and it was perfect for us.  it was such a super deal and if we ever went to oahu we would definitely stay there again.
