Honeymoon Destination Ideas

Does anyone have any suggestions for a tropical honeymoon? I really wanted to go to Greece for our honeymoon but my fiancee feels like we will HAVE to sightsee since we're in such an amazing place. He would rather just be blissfully uninhibited as to what we do and see. So we have agreed on a tropical destination and we both want something secluded and romantic, but close enough that we can travel comfortably to touristy spots. Any suggestions?

  • I would research St Croix USVI. Check out Trip Advisor travel forum for St Croix. Post a question and you will get whatever information you need.

  • I recommend Cancun, Mexico. You'll have the option of an all-inclusive or not and adults-only or not (depending on the hotel/resort). As far as I know, every hotel/resort on the strip (I've been to 2 of them) has a booth where you can register for activities as soon as the day before. You can spend a week chilling at the resort and doing nothing; or you can spend a week seeing ruins, swimming with dolphins, checking out the clubs and other nightlife, etc; or your trip can be anywhere in between. I think it's the perfect spot if you want the flexibility to decide each day whether you want to relax all day, go on a short trip, or wake up at 6am to go on an all-day adventure.
  • maui, hawaii
theres a lot to do if you would want to, or you could go chill on the beach all day and be just as happy.

  • St. Lucia,Jamaica,Antigua,Puna Cana the list goes on. We have been so far to St. Lucia and Jamaica and are headed to Antigua in March.

We just got back from Cancun a month ago. If you are looking for romantic and secluded Cancun is not the place. Mayby one of the "islands" such as Playa Mujeries but not Cancun. Oh it was lovely and we had a blast and the resort room was certainly romantic we stayed at The Royal Cancun which in an AI adults only (I certainly do not recomend going AI in Cancun as there are a ton of eatieries all up and down the strip). The beach was nice and the water a beautiful blue but it's just a beach with a bunch of hotels along it. Cancun reminded me very much of O.C. Maryland.

Here's the link to our website where we have pics from St. Lucia, Jamaica and Cancun,

  • Aruba! or Bermuda-stay at The Reefs!
  • From what you described it sounds like Zoetry Paraiso De La Bonita would be perfect for you and your future hubby. Zoetry is a fabulous all-inclusive resort and with just 90 suites, it offers a very quiet and intimate atmosphere. Depending on what you prefer, you can spend your time lounging on the beautiful beach or partaking in various activities such as snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking. The resort also features a freshwater and salt-water pool, with waiters available to cater to you at both. There’s definitely no need to move a muscle at this resort, and to me, that’s what makes it so enjoyable. Additionally, the resort is located just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Cancun. Good luck with you decision!
