Re: disney honeymoon

  • There are so many! -Definately try and book a breakfast at the Crystal Palace before park opening. You get to take pictures on the almost empty Main Street. -Try to go to the Magic Kingdom on a night when they're having the SpectroMagic Parade, and stay and watch the fireworks. -Go back to the hotel in the afternoon. Trust me! That's when the parks are busiest, and hottest, so it's nice to go back to your room for a nap, shower, swim in the pool, etc.I could literally go on and on! If you'd like more tips email me at shanniepotter at hotmail dot com. I also recommend the Disney website, allears dot net, and mousesavers dot com. All three have been the basis of my planning. HTH!

  • Like PP said - there are a ton!  I could go on and on as well.  Just a few good ones that pop into my head...-Go see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios - make sure you get there early-Grab dinner at the California Grill - make sure you are there during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom-Get a sundae at Ghirardelli's in Downtown Disney-If you have time, try to visit some of the other hotels on property - you're always in for a treat. That's all I can think of...page me on the Baltimore board if you are looking for more.

  • We are going to Disney as well and have never been! I so can't wait! We were able to get the dining plan free! So excited! Less than 2 months to go!
  • I LOVE disney.  FI and I go every year and find something new to do everytime.  I could go on and on like other pp, but here are my top picks:- Have dinner at Narcoises at the Grand Floridian - try to take the little boat there from the Magic Kindgom!  It is right on the water and they have a light parade in the water!  So fun!! - Disclaimer - the resturant is almost all seafood.- Dinner at the Yachtsman Steak House in the Beach Club Hotel.- The Disney Boardwalk - it is by the Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk Hotels.  The Brewery has great food and great beer!  The Boardwalk is prob my favorite place to go to...they have street performers like magicians, funnel cake, boardwalk games.  Makes you feel like you are down the shore!  They also have a dueling piano bar there that is hands down the best place to go out.  The drinks are resonably priced and the atmosphere is great.HTH!!!
  • I would advise not staying in Disney, just my opinion.   My husband and I spent a week in Orlando last May - and we were only at Disney World/Epcot for one day.    It's fun and all, but there are other interesting things to do.   I would have felt trapped without a car, stuck in the park.    We bought a one-day pass to do two parks in one day, and ate dinner at the Disney-City place (sorry, I forget what that's called.) That was more than enough Disney for me.    Beyond that, we swam with Dolphins at Discovery Cove, went to Tampa, and also visited Universal Studios.
  • I recommend getting the park hopper added on to your tickets.  That way you can go where you want to eat or for the evening if the park you go to that day doesn't last all day.  Some parks (Animal Kingdom and the water parks) close at like 7PM, but if you have the park hopper, you could go have dinner and watch fireworks elsewhere!
