need an affordable all inclusive

looking to book our honeymoon by end of October this year. We want an all inclusive & figured Mexico would be the cheapest. Were hoping to find something affordable but great. Everyone wants the most for the least they can get it. Ideas? Opinions? Personal experience?

Re: need an affordable all inclusive

  • We just booked Cancun for September 29th Through October 3ed.  And got a great deal (i think) Everything was about $1200.00 we used a local travel agent but I know she used Apple vacations.. The resort is a five start and we are super excited.  GOOD LUCK!
  • I would say talk to a TA. They don't cost anything and know the cheap and nice places. We looked into Sunset Rivier Maya I think but ended up booking the Valentin Imperial. TripAdvisor is a great resource as well.

  • We are going August 25- Sept 2nd to the Valentin Imperial in Riveria Maya (right outside of Cancun). For 2 including airfare to and from Tampa it was less than $1500 all inclusive with a suite and travel insurance. I contacted a Travel Agent and she quoted me $400 more than I found on Orbitz. We also googled for Orbitz coupons online and found one that got us $200 off the final price. So far everything has been great and the flight was the best times ever. I will let you know how it goes but tripadvisor.com has been a great help so check there too to see what people are saying. But I recommend the Valentin Imperial

  • I have heard great reviews about the Valentin Imperial Maya (adults only, all-inclusive, nice beach, disco, buffet and ala carte, great staff).  If you want a really good deal and are going to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, or somewhere else in Riviera Maya I'd highly recommend going on Deals2Cancun.com.  You get an additional 10% rebate back when you return.  Basically they are selling packages (typically All-Inclusive) with air and free transfers from places like Apple and Funjet (and just giving you the cheapest one) and giving you a cut of the commission.  Fabulous Deal!  We used them in April for a regular trip and it was awesome.
  • In my opinion, one of the best resorts in Mexico is Secrets Maroma Beach. I absolutely love this resort. The main thing that attracted me to this resort was the beach. The Travel Channel voted it the world’s best beach four years in a row. The resort itself is fabulous. You will have 24-hour room service, a mini bar that is restocked daily, unlimited premium drinks, gourmet meals and so much more. The service is also outstanding; everyone goes out of their way to make sure you are having a great time. Good luck with your decision!
  • My fiance and I went to Riu Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta Mexico last December. Air fare was still higher at the time (especially since we departed from DC), but the hotel itself was way cheap... but incredible. It was definitely different from Cancun... it's more authentic. There's a lot of traditional Mexican things to do there. And it's very romantic :-)
