Which excursions on St. Lucia?

Hi Ladies.  My finance and I are heading to St. Lucia for our Honeymoon in October.  We are staying at Sandals Grande and I'm wondering what were the best excursions to choose on the island.  We are going to try to book them a little in advance and I was wondering if any of the brides who have already been there have any recommendations.  The tours dont have to be through Sandals.  We are open to anything!  Thank you!

Re: Which excursions on St. Lucia?

  • I just recently returned from our honeymoon to St Lucia and we stayed at Sandals Regency. We went on a fantastic tour that was all day long and really gave us a taste for the local food and people. It was through Cosol Tours. If you google it, it will come up with a website and an email address to contact the owner. The owner is super responsive to emails and answers any questions. If you look on Trip Advisor and search Cosol Tours you will find that NO ONE gave the tour a negative review. It was one of our favorite things on our honeymoon. Our driver was "Bumpy" and he was amazing!! Let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck!
  • We did the Jeep Safari and the Day Sail to Soufiere to the Piton Mountains and the Drive in volcano. We also did the Anse Le Raye fish fry and that was tons of fun and the private candle-lit dinner on the beach. I am so jealous you will love it.
  • FI & I also did Cosol Tours on our cruise in April. We both LOVED it! The guys were great, friendly, knowledgeable. Tons of sights, tons of food and drink (alcoholic or non.) We had a great time. If you're interested in doing a lot of things in one day, it's the way to go.

  • We re going in December to Sandals Regency and it cannot come fast enough. we got a great excusrion list from our TA and we plan on zip-lining for sure and visting the waterfall and mineral baths.
  • Im going in about 16 days but havent booked anything yet.  I was going to do the horseback riding on the beach but a friend of my fiance's went a month ago and said that if I own my own horse (which I do) I would be apalled at the condition of the horses and cry so I should stay away.   Since I help rescue horses, Im going to heed the warning and not book it.I am going to do ziplining since I did it in Jamiaca and loved it.  The price is the same for this whether you go through Sandals or St. Lucia Ziplining (from what I could find when I looked into pricing).I also heard the Joe knows St. Lucia tour is awesome and you can find him on the beach or book ahead. We plan on doing some diving and I know that takes up time so Im not sure how many excursion's well add to that.I would love to hear other peoples input as well. =)
  • I am also heading to St. Lucia next year for my honeymoon, and looking for excursions as well.  I looked into the Cosol tours, and they look great!  Thanks for the recommendation!  I do have a question though.  I noticed that they listed a lot of different stops on the tour, and I wondered whether 5-6 hours was enough time.  Did you feel rushed at all during the tour?  Did you get out of the van at every stop, or just drive by many of them?  Thanks!!!
  • You definitely get enough time at each stop.  The only place I would have liked to stay longer was Jalousie Beach because it was so gorgeous, but really, I just wanted to stay in St. Lucia longer since we were only there one day (on our cruise.)  Cosol Tours was awesome!  You don't have a lot of time to linger at each stop, but it's just enough time to keep it interesting.  Lots of food, drinks, fun guides...it was a great way for us to see a lot of the island in one day, but I think it would be a great way to spend one day of a St. Lucia HM.
