Flight Times

Okay.. this may be a silly question, but I am going to ask anyways. On the way over:Our flight leaves Arizona at 8:45am, then arrives in Florida at 2:50pm.We depart Florida at 4:20pm and arrive in St. Lucia at 8:40pm.Now my question... that doesn't include the time differences, right? If we leave at 8:45am, then we arrive in Florida at 2:50pm Arizona time (not Florida time, which is 2-3 hours ahead)?? And when we arrive in St. Lucia at 8:40pm that is Arizona time and not the actual time it is in St. Lucia?? Please correct me if I am wrong...

Re: Flight Times

  • You are correct it will be st. lucia time.

  • The time is whatever time it will be where the plane is. So 2:50 would be in Florida time, not Arizona time. What time you land in St. Lucia would be St. Lucia's time, not Arizona time.

  • No, it is NOT Arizona time - the times listed are the local times (it doesn't take 6 hours to fly across the country). 2:50 is Florida time, and it will be 8:40 in St Lucia when you land there.

  • Flight times are local. Meaning the departure time will be listed according to the time zone of where the plane takes off, and the arrival time according to the time zone of where the plane lands. The time zone of where ever you flew in from is irrelevant since you won't be there anymore ;) Just imagine the confusion otherwise...
  • Thank you for clearing that up!
  • No, the times are the local times - that is the time it is at the actual location you are at.
