For Djami and other Sandals people...

Hi! My FI and I are booked to go to Sandals Antigua...in March for our HM.  I looked at some of the other reviews on Sandals and I am scared that we made the wrong decision. HOwever, DJami...you seemed to have a great experience.  Please clarify a few things for me: Actually it is more than a few things...so feel free to only answer questions that you can...I know its alot!!Were there a lot of ants and roaches that others have talked about in the elevators and in the rooms?  This is freaking me out! As far as food: other people said there were very small portions. This doesn't bother me if the food is delicious, because can we order more than two entrees between us if we want or is there a limit? I am not sure how AI works.  We are really into "fine dining" and good food...so do they have really good food or is it just edible?  Also...did you have any negative experiences with restaurants so we should just stay away from those? What water sports are included?  Do they have JEtskiing or no?  Was it quiet in the rooms or did you feel like you heard everyone else's converstations?  Did you have a concierge room? DId they have kettle one, or grey goose or any top shelf liquor or no?  I am sorry for all the questiosn...but let me know if you can answer them?Also...are there private spots on the beaches?  I know you said pool was crowded but what about the beaches?  Do the rooms seem clean and luxurious or moldy and mildewy?Ok fill me in when you can!And anyone else...thanks!

  • I have never been to Sandals Antigua but I have stayed at Sandals Ochos Rios and Bahamas. They were two of the best vacations I have ever had. I liked the Bahamas better. The food portions at both were smaller then a normal restaurant in NYC but we never left hungry(my fi is a big guy) you can each get an App and dessert if you want. also if you want more the one entree im sure you can do that as well. The Jetskis were not included at either of the sandals I went to but there was a glass bottom boat and other non motorized sports included. Also I thought the rooms were very clean. If they are not and you were to call and complain then Im sure they would be accomodating. I wish we could go to sandals for our HM but we are getting married in Aug so it is hurraicane season.

  • From what I have read there are more bugs in these tropical places than in the USA depending on where you live... but your room shouldnt be infested and if it is a pp said above request another room or have it cleaned. As far as what all is included if you go to the sandals website a list of all the non motorized sports should be listed ie snorkling, tennis, other water stuff and scuba diving if you are certified. Have you been on trip advisor. They have a ton of stuff and from what I have seen most are good with a few exceptions. There are pictures on trip advisor too!
