St. Lucia Honeymonn

Hey there!

I'm terrified about hurricane season but my soon to be husband and I wanted to go our honeymoon in St. Lucia. Has anyone ever gone in November?  If so how was it? Do you recommend? I'm so torn

Re: St. Lucia Honeymonn

  • One of the girls on my local just got back from St. Lucia two weeks ago and LOVED it. She stayed at Jade Mountain though.
  • Yea, my wedding is in June and i am staying at the Sandals.. Hope it cleaned up by then

  • I was married in October and we chose St. Lucia specifically because it's out of the "hurricane belt" of islands.  That's not to say that it's never affected by hurricanes, but you have less of a chance of it being an issue than if you chose Aruba or Mexico.

It's beautiful there so I hope you stick with your choice :)
  • Good to know! My fiance and I really want to go here... I think we're going to do it... spoke to a few of my friends and they said Sandals is SUPER safe and if anything was ever to happen they'd know and have it under control. I guess since November is at the end of Hurricane season it's safest. Thanks again Laughing
  • We went to Sandals Regency Nov 22-Dec 2 this year.

The weather was great.  It rained a few days but only for 30 min or so and it was not cold.  They had a hurricane last month that they were not prepared for but they have done a great job cleaning up the roads etc.

The resort was fine.  Sandals has its own water supply that was not affected and at the resort you could not tell that they had a storm a month ago.  We had a great time and I would recommend it.

  • My Fi and I just got back from vacation in St. Lucia and loved it. Talking to locals about the recent hurricane back in late October, they told us that is the first major storm to hit the island in 25 years. We were there late November to early December and like Blueyed mentioned there were a few showers but nothing to ruin the day.

Check out Ti Kaye Resort! This place was amazing! It might give you a different expereince than Sandals as it is a smaller resort  and more secluded but they haven't overlooked a thing! I have never been to Sandals resort to have an opinion but if we went back to St. Lucia we would stay at Ti Kaye.
