Overall we had an amazing time in Las Vegas, with the exception of our hotel (the Luxor). We purchased an all inclusive deal through the hotel website which included two all day passes to the buffet per day; tickets to the Chris Angel show; tickets to the Bodies exhibit; Tickets to the Titanic exhibit; and VIP access to the Cat house night club.
When we checked in, we found out they gave away our room

. We did check in a little late (8pm) but they were made aware of this when I booked the room in the first place. They did upgrade us to another larger suite at no extra cost, however, I booked our original suite based on the fact that it had a hot tub in the room, which our upgraded suite did not ( I assumed it did being that it was an "upgraded" suite).
As we were starving by the time we checked in (who wants to pay for airport food), we were pretty excited to hit up the buffet. Apparently the guy who checked us in did not know anything about the hotel, because when we inquired about the buffet he told us it was closed for the evening. After exploring the hotel a bit we discovered this was not the case and ended up paying $40 to eat at the buffet because they did not set up the all inclusive meal deal we had originally booked.
After realizing our meals had not been set up, we went back to the check in counter where they informed us in order to utilize that offer, they needed to put a $200 hold on our CC to ensure payment (?), and then they would just comp that money off the bill at check out. I don't know about any of you but $200 was a big chunk of our budgeted money not to have available.
On day two, we decided to go check out the exhibits, and get our show set up for Chris Angel. As instructed at check in when I inquired about the free shows, we went to the ticket master location to redeem our tickets. When we got there, we were asked for our vouchers...WHAT VOUCHERS? WE NEVER RECEIVED VOUCHERS...Back down to the check in desk we go. Mind you, this is prime check out time and had to wait in line with about 40-60 people waiting to check out. two hours later we finally had everything all set up.
Day three, we thought we would go check out the cat house night club. Everything seemed to have been going through by swiping our room key, so we figured that is how our VIP entrance would work as well because we hadn't recived anything at check in...WRONG. Back to the desk we go...again. The guy behind the desk had no clue. He ripped us out a complimentary access for two from the Las Vegas brochure. When we stated it was suppose to be VIP he said that that should work fine. well it didn't, and by this time we were both fairly irritated and decided to just forget it all together.
My only other complaint about the luxor was the booths they have placed at every turn of people trying g to sell you tickets. I know Vegas is all about selling you stuff, but these people were over the top annoying to deal with around every turn in a hotel your trying to relax at. They would hit you up on the way down to the buffet, and 1 hour later on the way back up just in case they missed you the first time. Going through the other hotels, the Luxor seemed to be the only one who had vendors soliciting in it on a consistent basis. After 3 days of the same crap we finally just started telling them we were leaving that day and then they wanted nothing to do with us. Realizing they are just trying to do their job, I was trying very hard not to be snotty, but it was difficult by weeks end. Sorry Vendor people

The last time I came to Vegas, I stayed at TI and it was amazing. I will most definitely be going back to TI next time.
