Hi, I saw your post about your wedding dress with the dry cleaners. I know this is a long shot since it has been a long time since you posted this. This happened to me and they turned my white dress GRAY! I brought in a white dress with dirt on the bottom to be cleaned, and it came back entirely gray. First, they gave me the wrong dress when I went to pick it up, and when the correct dress came back they didn't call or say anything about it had turned gray, they were fine with just handing it over. I am saddened that this place came highly recommended and advertises "you can trust them to give very special care" and it's all a lie. Their explanation is the dirt had to go "somewhere". They claimed to have tried to clean it five times, yet no phone call to me that there was ever a problem. Here is your dress, pay, goodbye. I asked about filing a claim for damages and there was no reasoning with the owner, as she stated, "We are well known in the community and have been here a long time". That's great, but you ruined the dress and blamed the dirt. I trusted you to take care of a priceless heirloom and you ruined it and had no consideration to call about it. Do you have any advice for this? What happened with you and the cleaners?

Where to go?

FI and I are making a list of places to go for our HM. We're looking outside of the NC/GA/TN/SC area because we've crawled all over those places already. We've never been out of the southeast, really. He's been to Arizona but it was to visit family. I've been to Texas, inland Mexico, France and Spain.

We have about 3000 to spend. We don't want a cruise because thinking of them makes me feel awfully claustrophobic. I want to fly somewhere because I really love to fly. We want to stay 5-7 nights.

We want somewhere with entertainment but we aren't big partiers or big drinkers.

Any suggestions?
