Honeymoon in Costa Rica

Has anyone here been to Costa Rica or have any advice for a honeymoon in Costa Rica?  Just got engaged and not getting married until May 2012 but we're thinking of heading to Costa Rica for our honeymoon but we're not sure where to go!  I would appreciate any help!  Thanks so much!!!!

My fiance and I went to CR last year at the end of Feb and had a fantastic trip!  We flew into San Jose and rented a car (if you're driving, you NEED 4 wheel drive without a doubt!!) and drove to Arenal Volcano.  We had great weather while we were there, spent a day doing the tourist thing around the volcano and jungle.  Then we drove to the pacific coast to Junquillal - it's south of Tamarindo which is a huge tourist hot spot (wasn't THAT impressive compared to where we were, but for an afternoon we did a trip there).  Not much in Junquillal, but beautiful long, sprawling beaches if you're into that!  From there we drove to what we both consider one of our favourite places ever - Santa Teresa!  If you're up for the adventure getting there, I highly recommend it!  We only had one week and we continually talk about going back sometime soon!

I second Jaytee's vote for Santa Teresa.  A beautiful, small surfer's paradise - the beach is incredible and it is not too touristy (yet). 

I LOVED Costa Rica, locals are incredibly friendly and there is so much beauty found in nature. 

Near Arenal (one of the most active volcanoes in the world - we saw it errupt lava!) there are a bunch of hot springs.  I think the place we went to was called Baldi - there are dozens of hot springs / pools to relax in - although it is a little commercial (they even have swim-up bars!). 

I would not spend much time in San Jose though, there is some history, of course, but it is very urban (crowded and dirty).
